Project Properties

Project Properties is a window that allows you to define and adjust project specific settings and metadata.

When opening Project Properties, the Details tab opens, which lists the general metadata about a project. The Project Properties ribbon menu displays at the top of the window and contains all available functions within the window.

On the left-hand side of the Project Properties window, you have a list of categorised sections, each with their own set of options. Some of these options alter how the project calculates its final figure, such as the inclusion of a Sales Tax; others may change project metadata, such as the name or description.

The Project Properties window provides you with an area to:

• Change project details, including the project name and project type
• Include information about terms and conditions and notes.
  Genesis and Express editions only.
• Link existing projects to the current project.
• Adjust how spreading occurs in the project.
• Add additional currencies to include in pricing.
• Alter how to use resources in calculations.
• Create additional user columns.
• Override the default colouring within the Cost Schedules and Cost Estimates.
• Make changes to project calculations.
• Enable and configure escalation on resource types.
• Assign sales tax to the project.
• Set and review important project dates.
• Customise the level of project messages.
• Modify the general workflow of a project.
• Lock the project information from being edited.
• Set a password to protect the information contained within the project.
