Subcontractor Comparisons – Subcontractor Details – Grid Columns

Each window within Expert Estimation has a unique workspace layout. The following is a list of the columns available within the Subcontractor Comparisons – Subcontractor Details window.
When editing in this window, fields that can be modified are highlighted by the Edit () icon in the column header.
Name |
Description |
---|---|
Line # |
The identifier for an item. This field is populated automatically to assist in identifying the line for general navigation. Note: This field is read-only and inherited from the Schedule. |
Item # |
A reference number that can be used to quickly identify the item, this can be supplied by the client to match internal records. Note: This column cannot be edited in the Subcontractor Comparison – Subcontractor Details window. These values are inherited from the Schedule. |
Description |
Provides a detailed explanation of what the Direct Cost Schedule item is representing in the project. Note: This column cannot be edited in the Subcontractor Comparison – Subcontractor Details window. This data is inherited from the Schedule. |
Quantity |
The Quantity column displays the number of units required to complete the Direct Cost Schedule item. Note: This column cannot be edited in the Subcontractor Comparison – Subcontractor Details window. These values are inherited from the Schedule. |
Estimated Quantity |
This column allows you to enter a different quantity that you can base the subcontractors total off other than the quantity specified by the client. Note: If using a rate from another subcontractor in the comparison, this field will use the Estimated Quantity from the other subcontractor and the column will become read-only |
Unit |
The Unit column represents the Unit of measure for the Direct Cost Schedule item. Note: This column cannot be edited in the Subcontractor Comparison - Subcontractor Details window. These values are inherited from the Schedule |
Effective Factor |
The Effective Factor is calculated by multiplying the Subcontractor Factor column by the Factor columns value. The result of this is included in the calculation of the Subcontractor Total. |
Rate Source |
Rates provided by the current Subcontractor can be substituted for Rates supplied by alternative Subcontractors (in the same comparison). This allows for a dominant Subcontractor to be considered, whilst still giving the flexibility to promote cost pricing for other Subcontractors on particular items Note: You are unable to select the quote from another subcontractor within the comparison if their rates are being sourced by the current subcontractor. |
Quoted Rate |
Used to enter the rate provided by the subcontractor for each item. If a value is entered into the Quoted Total field, the Quoted Rate will be automatically calculated. |
Quoted Total |
Used to enter the total provided by the client for each item. If a value is entered into the Quoted Rate field, the Quoted Total will be automatically calculated |
% Independent Cost Estimate |
Represents the percentage of the Independent Cost Estimate Value that will be proportioned to the item. |
Independent Cost Estimate Value |
This column displays the value of the Independent Cost Estimate that will be added to the item. Note: This value is applied to the Rate Adjustment column in the Resource Explorer of the resource that is created for that line item, depending on the Quantity / Estimated Quantity applied. |
Quoted Total Including Independent Value |
Represents the sum of the Quoted Total and the Independent Cost Estimate Value fields. |
Cost Estimate |
This column displays the total value of an item’s Self Performed Cost Estimate. |
Subcontractor Rate |
Represents the subcontractor's rate for completing one unit of the corresponding item. This is calculated by summing the Subcontractor Total by the Quantity of the item. |
Subcontractor Total |
Represents the total subcontractor price for completing each item. This is calculated by summing the Quoted Total, Independent Cost Estimate Value and Cost Estimate Value. |
Comments |
Additional information regarding the pricing information for the item can be entered into the Comment column. |
