We recommend that you upgrade to the latest version of Expert Estimation to gain access to application enhancements and bug fixes as soon as possible.

Please review the following list carefully as it may contain some alterations to existing functionality and features which can affect the way the program is used and the results obtained.



  • Implemented Versioned User Settings to improve User Experience when using multiple versions of the application.
  • Improved the performance of the Cash Flow Calculator.
  • Improved the performance of the Code Flow Calculator.
  • Improved the performance of the Code Set Allocations Calculator.
  • Improved how concurrent operations are scheduled to greatly improve the overall performance of multi-user environments.
  • Added the ability to remove multiple Codes at once instead of individually.
  • Changed the default Project Message level from Error to Warning for Mismatched Resource Usages project message.
  • Added the ability to apply colours to an entire row of the Project Analysis window.
  • Updated and Extended the Project Analysis report to include new information and be more consistent with the Analysis window.
  • Added Signature lines to Project Analysis Report.
  • Added the ability to show Provisional Sums, Risk and Opportunities, Pre-adjustments and Post-adjustments on the Project Analysis window and report.
  • Added column to Project Analysis window that shows each item as a percentage of it's parent.
  • Added the ability to set the Type/Category for Resources automatically created within a Quotation Comparison.
  • Display Zero Text Value on Submission Schedule and Spread Results if the line is Rate Only.

  • Resolved an issue where Quantities associated with new Spreading Rules could not be changed until the Project Properties window was saved.
  • Resolved an issue where the Expert Estimation Server service will fail to start if it exceeds the standard timeout duration.
  • Resolved an issue in the Direct and Overhead Code Allocations Properties Pane where the Add and Remove buttons were not being enabled.
  • Resolved an issue in the Code Set Calculation where Group Resources being influenced by a Percentage formula at a higher level were not being correctly accounted for.
  • Resolved an issue where only one Code Set would be automatically calculated when a project was imported.
  • Resolved an issue where using Previous and Next Cost Estimate actions could lead to a Client-side Deadlock.
  • Resolved an issue where incorrect information was being shown on the Spread Results Options pane.
  • Resolved an issue in the Spread Results Properties Pane where Summary line totals were included in the Summation values being shown.
  • Resolved an issue where changes to Colour Profiles were not being displayed until the application was closed and reopened.
  • Resolved an issue where accessing a project while it was being archived could leave the project in an unpredictable state.
  • Resolved an issue where opening the Save Dialog when exporting a report could cause an exception if the saved path was invalid.
  • Resolved an issue where an error may occur when updating Project details in the client-side cache.
  • Resolved an issue where the Getting Started overlay in the Cost Estimate would remain present after adding Cost Estimate lines.
  • Resolved an issue where users may receive an error in the Subcontractor Items window when User Defined values are updated.
  • Resolved an issue when multiple users opening/saving Saved Report Configurations could cause an exception.
  • Resolved an issue where certain invalid actions could be applied to a Self-Performed Subcontractor.
  • Resolved an issue where pre-import/export Drive Space checks were inconsistent.
  • Improved handling of Automatic Proportioning for Subcontractor and Quotation Comparisons for values close to 100%.
  • Improved the Resource, Matrix Item and Project lookup controls so that moving the mouse over the drop down list does not select an item.
  • Improved the loading speed of the Quotation Comparison Details report.
  • Added a prefix of OH to Overhead Items being printed in the Code Set Item Summary report when Cost Estimate lines are shown.
  • Fixed a number of reported and unreported bugs.
