Common Phrases
Common Phrases represent pieces of user-defined text configured for the purpose of regularly being used throughout a project. This maybe a common label for section headings, a business process code for defining scheduled work, a commonly used Expert Estimation function or even a regularly used resource name.
Each scenario is simply a text value that can then be inserted directly into certain areas of the application through the use of a Common Phrases dialog or individual user-defined shortcuts.
These can be added on a per user basis from the Options - Common Phrases window.
USING COMMON PHRASES
Depending on the options checked, Common Phrases can be inserted into a large range of fields throughout specific windows of Expert Estimation. These phrases can be inserted by using either the user-defined keyboard shortcut or by selecting a phrase from the Insert Phrase context menu.
Common Phrases can be inserted in the following windows:
- Direct Cost Schedule
- Overhead Cost Schedule
- Direct Cost Estimates
- Overhead Cost Estimates
- Group Resources Cost Estimates
- Quotation Comparison Independent Cost Estimates
- Subcontract Comparison Item Cost Estimates
- Subcontract Comparison Independent Cost Estimates
- Matrix Item Cost Estimates
- Take Off Calculation Sheet
- Resource Calculation Sheet
