Resource Calculation Templates

During the build-up of a Resource’s Calculated Rate, there may be more external factors, such as depreciation, allowances and insurances that may contribute to the cost of these resources. Resource Calculation Templates allow you to perform calculations on Base Resources to modify the rate that is used throughout the project.

Resource Calculation Templates window

The Resource Calculation Templates window provides the ability to:

• Define an array of calculations to be applied to any base resource to which the Resource Calculation Template has been assigned.
• Define Penalty Rates to be used in calculating a shift cycle.
• Setup a calendar of days included in a shift cycle that can be referenced within calculations.

The contextual ribbon toolbar at the top of the window shows all the functions available within the Resource Explorer.

The main grid area is where all available Calculation Templates are displayed when you first open the Resource Calculation Templates window.

Once a Calculation Template has been created it can be applied to a Base Resource from the Resource Explorer by selecting it from the drop-down box in the Resource Calculation field.
