Carbon Emission Factors
Genesis edition only.
Carbon Emission Factors are the emission values that can be defined and applied to Carbon Emission Profiles.
Carbon Emission Factors window.
Carbon Factors define the different types of emissions that need to be tracked within a project. These can be structured in a number of ways, including:
- High-level categories – e.g. Emissions, Scope 1, Scope 2, Scope 3.
- Detailed tracking – where each Scope contains multiple specific Factors e.g. Fuel combustion, Purchased electricity, Transport, Waste, etc.
This provides flexibility based on the project's reporting requirements.
Carbon Emission Factors can be grouped to provide summarised totals at different levels throughout the application. When Factors are grouped:
- Totals are calculated per Factor
- Per Factor Grouping
- A Grand Total is available for all emissions within the project.
When a Profile is assigned to a Base Resource, all Factors with a defined value are calculated using the formula described in the Carbon Emission Module.
