Group Resources Report

The Group Resource report produces a printable breakdown of each available Group Resource within the project along with the associated Cost Estimate lines which can then be distributed for review purposes.

The report displays the following information:

Group Resource Line Number
Description
Formula
Resource name
Unit
Quantity
Rate
Costs broken down by resource type
Total value
Summary of the group resource

Note: The information is broken down into two sections, The Group Resource Summary and the Group Resource Cost Estimate.

FORMATTING OPTIONS

You can change the format of the data by clicking the Change button, in the bottom left-hand corner in the Options section of the report.

Group Resources Report - formatting options

FORMATTING OPTION	DESCRIPTION
Show Cost Estimate Lines	The Show Cost Estimate option allows you to select the level of detail shown for each group resource cost estimate. This can be set to show all Cost Estimate lines, all except excluded Cost Estimate lines, only summary Cost Estimate lines or no Cost Estimate lines via the drop down list.
Exploded Group Resources to (x) levels deep	Explode Group resources to (x) levels deep will expand the group resource reported on a cost estimate line. (x) represents the number of contained group resource levels that will be expanded out in the report per cost estimate line.
Use Resource Description when Cost Estimate Line Description is blank	When this option is ticked, any cost estimate lines that do not contain a description will use the description of the resource assigned to the line.
Show Define Value	While the Show Define Value option is ticked, any defines used on displayed Cost Estimate lines of a Group Resource will be shown with their defined value.
Units to summarise	This allows you to select units to summarise on the report underneath each group resource. Only units that have been used within the group resource are listed.
User Defined Columns	This allows you to select User Defined Columns to display on the report.
Units to display as columns	This allows you to select which Unit summation columns should be displayed as columns on the right-hand side of the report. These columns will summarise the resource units consumed against each Group Resource Cost Estimate line shown.
