2 GB (gigabytes) of available hard disk space for installation of software. 8 GB (gigabytes) of available hard disk space for installation.

Storage space needs to be considered for the number of projects on the server.

Expert Estimation requires activation to operate.

A periodic internet connection is required for ongoing software activation (phone activation is not available).

Connection to the internet is required for submitting error reports and usage information.

Note: Based on the features, quantity, and size of projects stored on an Expert Estimation Server, additional system resources may be required and should be determined further in conjunction with Pronamics Support. Load balancing servers are currently not supported by Expert Estimation.

Disk Considerations

When establishing a multi-user instance of the Expert Estimation Server, disk read and write data throughput needs to be considered for both the number of concurrent projects open and the size of each of these projects.

In most cases, multi-disk storage systems designed for performance are more suitable than a single disk approach.

Note: Solid State Drives (SSDs) are preferable over mechanical hard disks, however, SSDs are not a requirement for the software to operate.
