Metric Calculation Sheet – Ribbon Menu

Genesis edition only.

The contextual ribbon menu for the Metric Calculation Sheet window provides you with access to all of the functions that allow you to interact with the Metric Calculation Sheet for the current Metric within your project.

GENERAL GROUP

NAME

DESCRIPTION

Paste
Ctrl + V

Clicking the Paste button will insert the information from the clipboard into the Metrics window.

Copy
Ctrl + C

Clicking the Copy button will copy the selected Metric information to the clipboard.

This allows the data to be pasted within Expert Estimation or into an external application.

Undo
Ctrl + Z

Clicking the Undo button reverses the last change made to the data.

Redo
Ctrl + Y

The Redo button becomes available when an Undo action is performed and is used to reverse the Undo action.

Save
Ctrl + S

When the Save button is clicked, changes that have been made to the Metric Calculation since opening will be saved to the project.

Properties
Alt + Enter

Opens the Properties pane to the right-hand side of the window.

This will display the details of the currently selected Metric and gives you the ability to edit multiple lines at once.

EDITING GROUP

DESCRIPTION

Add Line
Ctrl + Shift + =

Clicking the Add Line button will append a new line to the end of the Metric Calculation Sheet.

Insert Line
Ctrl + Insert

Inserts a new line above the current position in the Metric Calculation Sheet.

Insert Multiple Lines
Ctrl + Shift + Insert

Opens a dialogue window that allows you to choose the number of lines to insert above the current position in the Metric Calculation Sheet.

Remove Line
Ctrl + Del

Clicking the Remove Line button will permanently remove the selected line from the Metric Calculation Sheet.

Any lines removed will be restored if the Metric Calculation Sheet window is closed without saving.

Result Type

Determines whether the result (and related minimum and maximum values) should be displayed as a numeric value, or a percentage.

Changing this option will convert the total value to a percentage and can also be changed at any time within the calculation sheet as well.

NAVIGATION GROUP

DESCRIPTION

Go to Definition
Ctrl + Shift + G

Pressing the Go to Definition button will navigate you to the define referenced on an item.

If more than one define is used, the Go to Definition button will open the Navigate to Define Source dialog.

From this window, you can choose the define you wish to navigate to.

DISPLAY GROUP

DESCRIPTION

Restore Layout

If columns have been removed, adjusted or relocated, clicking the Restore Layout button will restore columns to their default layout.
