Cash Flow Results – Grid Columns

Each window within Expert Estimation has a unique workspace layout. The following displays a list of the available columns available within the Cash Flow Results window.

Note:  All fields within the Cash Flow Results window are read-only.

NAME

DESCRIPTION

Period Number

The identifier for a period. This field is populated automatically to assist in identifying the time period for results and general navigation.

Period End Date

Displays the last date of a time period.

Changing the Period length will modify the End dates displayed in the Cash Flow Results.

Resource Type Costs

Represents the cost for each Base Resource Type used in a project that has been consumed in the current period of a Cash Flow Scenario.

Cost Total

Represents the total cost of all Resource Types used in a project that has been consumed in the current period of a Cash Flow Scenario.

Resource Type Accruals

Displays the accrued cost for each Base Resource Type based on the Cost Processing Rules and Cost Payment Lags set in the Cash Flow Scenario Options – Cost Processing Rules and Cash Flow Scenario Options – Cost Payment Lag windows respectively.

Total Cost Accrual

Displays the total accrued Costs for all Resource Types for the period based on the Cost Processing Rules and Cost Payment Lags set.

This means that at any period you can see how much accrued cost value you owe (negative value) or is owed (positive value).

Incurred Resource Type Cost

Represents the total for each Base Resources Type where cost is actually incurred excluding any Cost Processing Rules or Cost Payment Lags for the period.

Total Incurred Cost

Displays the total incurred cost for all Resource Types excluding any Cost Processing Rules or Cost Payment Lags for the period.

Advanced/Deferred Cost

Represents the total cost that has either been advanced from upcoming periods or deferred from previous Cash Flow periods.

Total Cost including Advanced/Deferred Cost

Represents the total cost value for all Resource Types inclusive of any Advanced/Deferred cost for the period.

Income Accrual

Displays the total Accrued Income value for the period based on the Progress Claim frequency and Income delays set in the Cash Flow Scenario Options – Income window.

Accrued income is income which has been earned but not yet received.

Income Total

Represents the total Income received for the period.

Claim Income

The actual income that will be claimed for the current period.

Advanced/Deferred Income Accrual

Displays the total Advanced/Deferred income value accrued for the period.

Advanced/Deferred Income is accrued when the Processing method set in the Cash Flow Scenario Options – Advanced/Deferred Income window, for Advanced/Deferred income is set to “With next Progress Claim” and factors in the the Progress Claim frequency and Income delays set in the Cash Flow Scenario Options – Income window.

Advanced/Deferred Income

Represents the total Advanced/Deferred income for the period.

Claim Advanced/Deferred Income

Represents the total claimed Advanced/Deferred income for the period.

Accrual Total

Displays the combined accrued value for a period and any periods that preceded it.

The value is based on the difference between the Total Cost Accrual and Income Accrual columns for the period.

This means that at any period you can see how much accrued value you owe (negative value) or is owed (positive value) to you.

Accrual Total including Advanced/Deferred Income Accrual

Represents the total Accrued value of the project inclusive of any Advanced/Deferred income accrued for the period.

Income Accrual including Advanced/Deferred Income Accrual

Displays the total Accrued Income value inclusive of any Advanced/Deferred Income value accrued for the period.

Claim Income including Claim Advanced/Deferred Income

Displays the total claimed Income inclusive of any claimed Advanced/Deferred Income for the period.

Total Income including Advanced/Deferred Income

Displays the total Income inclusive of any Advanced/Deferred Income for the period.

Period Delta

Displays the difference between the Cost Total and Income Total for the period.

Cumulative Total

This is a running total based on the sum of cost and income totals of previous periods.

Period Delta including Advanced/Deferred Cost/Income

Displays the difference between the Cost Total and Income Total including the Advanced/Deferred Cost/Income for the period.

Cumulative Total including Advanced/Deferred Cost/Income

Represents the Cumulative total of Cost and Income inclusive of any Advanced/Deferred Cost/Income for the period.
